It’s been almost 11 months since the Douglas Royals women’s soccer team played in a PACWEST game and they are itching to get back on the pitch.

Last October the Royals fell in the sudden death playoff semi-final ending their season and hopes of a national gold medal after a 6-3-3 regular season.

They began their off season winter work-outs like any other year until March when the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown training across the globe. Since then players and coaches alike have been trying to stay in touch and work-out whenever Dr. Bonnie Henry gives the green light.

Head coach of the Royals Chris Laxton talks with Ryan Watters about the cancelled fall season and how he has kept up communication with his team.
