So we’re into week two of the USports men’s soccer season and as teams jockey for position early in the season, it’s only a matter of time where we will start to see things settle and we’ll get a better picture of whom are the teams that are the contenders and whom are the pretenders.

Things remain unchanged with the top 4 with UBC leading the way for the second straight week. York and Ontario Tech have flipped, in part due to York’s 1-1 tie in Windsor without their leader Carm Issaco serving the last of his suspension from an incident from last season, and Ontario Tech putting the entire OUA on notice behind the goal scoring prowess of Omar Marzuk with twin 8-0 wins over Laurentian and RMC on the weekend..

Mount Royal remains in seventh, with Alberta and TMU moving in to eighth and ninth respectively with the latter’s self imposed forfeitures in OUA action due to an alleged incident on a team outing that is currently being investigated led to the Bold’s players chomping at the bit with last year’s USports Player of the Year Chris Campoli making his debut, thumping of Nipissing 8-0. UQTR rounds out the top 10.
