Current Fleming Women’s Head Soccer Coach and and long time former Durham College Men’s Assistant Soccer Coach Mario Bombino passed away on Friday morning shortly after 2:00 am at the Lakeridge Hospital in Oshawa with his two daughters by his side.

Mario the the eldest of the Bombino soccer brothers, was a member of his brother Stan’s staff at Durham College for the 16 years that Stan was the head coach of the program bringing home a CCAA National bronze medal in 1999 and a couple of OCAA Provincial medals.

Starting out as an assistant for Tony, Mario soon moved into the Head Coach’s position with the Women soon after Stan moved into the Program head position with the college.
