The eight participating teams, listed in order of seedings, are as follows:

    • #1, Mount Royal Cougars, Canada West champions (11-2-1 regular season, 3-0 playoffs)
    • #2, StFX X-Men, AUS champions (9-2-1, 2-0)
    • #3, Carleton Ravens, OUA champions (10-1-1, 2-0-1)
    • #4, UQTR Patriotes, RSEQ champions (6-5-1, 2-0)
    • #5, Cape Breton Capers, hosts (9-0-3, 1-1)
    • #6, Montréal Carabins, RSEQ finalists (9-0-3, 1-1)
    • #7, UBC Thunderbirds, CW finalists (13-1-2, 2-1)
    • #8, York Lions, OUA finalists (7-2-3, 1-1-1)

In men’s soccer, the four conference champions are seeded in positions one through four, based on their final ranking, after the conference titles are determined. The remaining four teams are then placed in the bracket to (a) avoid intraconference matchups in the first round (b) avoid pairs of similar matchups (e.g. OUA champion vs. CW finalist and CW champion vs OUA finalists), and (c) the host team from playing the top seed in the first round.

The entire tournament is set for Ness Timmons Field on the CBU campus in Sydney. All four quarterfinals will be played on Thursday, November 9, with the schedule being as follows: (all times Atlantic)

    • 11 a.m. #3 Carleton vs. #6 Montréal
    • 1:30 p.m. #2 StFX vs. #7 UBC
    • 5 p.m. #4 UQTR at #5 Cape Breton
    • 7:30 p.m. #1 Mount Royal vs #8 York

Game Day 2 is set for Friday, November 10, and will see consolation games at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., with championship semifinals to follow at 4 and 6:30 p.m.

The lone game on Saturday, November 11, will be the fifth-place game, set for 1 p.m. Sunday, November 13 is Finals Day and will feature the bronze-medal game at 11 a.m. and the championship at 2 p.m.

Tickets for the event are currently on sale at www.ticketmaster.ca.

All 11 games of the championship will be streamed on CBC digital platforms in English, and RadioCanada.ca/Sports and usports.ca in French. MEN’S SOCCER
